As social networking becomes more and more popular our privacy disappears. We are becoming more public with a lot of aspects of our lives. It is now easier to keep in touch with friends and see their photos and even see where your friends are hanging out. Be careful to think how this can also be used in the wrong hands. Young people don't always understand the risks with what they post on the internet. It is next to impossible to remove things once they have been shared. The information you post can not only effect your next job interview but also your personal safety. Social networks are no different to school play grounds with both fun and some fairly anti-social behavior like bullying as well.
Our children need to be educated to use these networks responsibility and schools need to play an active roles in this. Be sure to regularly check the privacy settings and only let out information to feel safe with.
